FAST AL Italia

This project is run jointly by Axane and Air Liquide Italia. Under this project Axane has to supply a Mobixane™    module for installation by Air Liquide Italia on the premises of the Joint Scientific and Technical Federation (Fédération Associative Scientifique et Technique or FAST) in Milan.
The objective of this project is to promote the Hydrogen powered Fuel Cell, in its entirety, and more particularly Axane know-how in the field, to the public and to professionals. To impact on the latter, the cell in question will be exhibited in the entrance hall of FAST headquarters and will act as the electric generator for the lighting in the room, towards the begining of 2006.

A second objective is related to Axane´ s overall policy in terms of the markets to be targeted by Fuel Cell power sources. Indeed, Axane´ s development strategy consists in using Air Liquide´ s world-wide subsidiaries to support the deployment of its technology by offering the technical and logistical services for the operation of Axane´ s Fuel Cell modules and the supply of Hydrogen fuel power.

To allow remote monitoring and to ensure a global safety chain including the hydrogen storage and the lighting application powered by the Fuel Cell, some modifications have been made to the electric generator.

Moreover, to ensure that the project runs smoothly, training has been provided to Air Liquide Italia experts related, on the one hand, to the principle of the Fuel Cell and its component parts and more particularly, on the other hand, to the maintenance operations currently applied to the Fuel Cell.
